Building Construction

When renovating your home or building a new one, sealing any junctions or gaps between the components will help keep your home airtight and energy efficient. Flexible caulking, a watertight sealant, is great for small gaps, and you can try expandable foam for bigger ones. Just be careful not to cover weep holes in brickwork that provide ventilation and water drainage.

If you’re renting, inform your landlord if you locate any gaps between building components and request that they help to seal the gap.
