Heat Absorption

When planning a new home or any major renovation, the use of heat-absorbing elements like concrete, brick, and stone can give you natural (and free) heating and cooling. By absorbing the heat, these dense materials can keep your home cooler during the day and warmer at night as the heat is released. It can be tricky to get just right, so make sure to check with a thermal assessor or sustainable architect before making any decisions.
